There are a few different ways you can care for your beeswax wraps- so which one is the best? Find out here!
Different sites will tell you different ways to clean and care for your beeswax wraps, which can leave us all feeling a little confused. So we did some research and found out that the best way to clean them is by following the advice from the person who made them. This can be hard if you buy from big companies, but luckily all of our beeswax wraps are made locally here in Cornwall by just one person! So here is the advice from our supplier:
Our beeswax and vegan food wraps can be cleaned by:
Dusting off any crumbs into the bin.
Wiping down your wrap with a clean, damp cloth
Letting it air dry
For stubborn marks you can use a mild soap or detergent with cold water.
It is recommended that you refresh and sterilize your beeswax wraps every few months. You can do this by:
Placing your food wrap on a piece of grease-proof paper on a baking tray.
Putting it in the oven at 100 degrees Celsius and leaving for up to 1 minute. This will iron out any creases.
Once out the oven, immediately hold it up in the air for a few seconds to allow the wax to set.
Now your beeswax wraps will have a fresh look and feel, ready to be used again and again. They really are a fantastic money and planet saving addition to your kitchen!
